The Intersolar SummitAfrica 2025 was successfully held on March 12-13, 2025 in Kenya. EVE Energy, asa globally leading provider of lithium batteries and ESS solutions, was invitedto this event, and delivered a keynote speech to share its innovativeachievements and practical experience in the field of ESS technology, providingstrong support for the development of sustainable energy in Africa. With the rapid economicgrowth and sharp population increase in Africa, the traditional energystructure dominated by fossil fuels can no longer meet the current developmentneeds, and poorly serve the renewable energy targets. On the other side, Africaenjoys abundant solar and wind energy resources, and the ESS technology hasbecome a key support for filling the power gap and promoting green energytransformation. According to the data of AFSIA Solar, Africa's energy storagecapacity has grown rapidly from 31 MWh in 2017 to 1,600 MWh in 2024, showing acontinued demand for ESS technology in the African market.
A Minimalist Large-scaleSystem to Meet the Large Demand of ESS MarketTo meet the sharp risingdemand of ESS market, especially the urgent demand for safer, more efficientand more economical ESS products, EVE Energy has launched Mr.Giant, aminimalist large system. EVE Energy's ESS Sales Director of the Middle East andAfrica Sector, Tom Tang said at the summit that Mr.Giant can help clientsachieve the optimal levelized costs of energy (LCOS), effectively balance the contradictionbetween power supply and demand in Africa, and help its energy structuretransformation.
Mr.Giant is designed withsuper-large cells and a through-type large PACK. With an optimized structuredesign, it reduces 50% of the components, cables and data volume, significantlyreducing the complexity of system integration. This design not only reduces theinstallation workload, but also significantly reduces the maintenance workload,so that it realizes minimalist operation and maintenance, and cuts down themanual operation and maintenance costs of the entire life cycle by 30%.
Commercial and Industrial ESSand Residential ESS to Promote High-quality Development of Distributed Energy
In the field of commercialand industrial ESS, EVE Energy focuses on product safety, cost efficiency andflexibility, and has launched liquid-cooled outdoor DC cabinets and outdoorall-in-one cabinets based on its independently developed 280Ah and 314Ah cells,to meet diversified market demand. In view of the high temperature and humidityin Africa, EVE Energy provides commercial and industrial ESS products withexcellent environmental adaptability, which can operate under temperature rangeof -20°C to 55°C with IP67 rated protection, so that they can easily cope withextreme climatic conditions and ensure efficient operation and long servicelife.
